About
Our Story
Evy’s journey as a wildlife artist began when she read an article on mammalism, and how charities have far more success raising donations for animals considered “cute” by the general public, such as the giant panda or koala, while conservation efforts for reptiles, arachnids and other typically non-cute species was far more challenging.
Evy, who finds charm and joy in all animals, wanted to help those species who get less time and resources. What if all it took to raise awareness for underrepresented species, was to show them off in a cute way? What if an artist’s whimsical interpretation of a creature could move a crowd into caring for its conservation?
Evy’s conservation efforts have always been lead by a positive perspective. Love is stronger than fear, and if you grow to care for a particular species, build a connection with it, your compassion and desire to keep it safe will be much stronger than if you were intimidated into caring for it. Joy, compassion and loyalty are all powerful things.
WHY MERCHANDISE?
Another powerful thing? Relatability. Finding that species that you relate to, recognizing its charm, and wanting to protect it: it builds loyalty. It also builds joy, and the world can never have enough joy.
We wear accessories to express ourselves. And what better way to express our love and dedication to wildlife than to wear little tokens of them? An enamel pin that sparks conversation around the protection of pangolins, or a keychain that ignites curiosity into the role that adders play in our ecosystem.
